Dental Vision/Mission Statement

At Broad River Dentistry of Irmo we offer a wide range of dental services, including preventive, cosmetic, restorative and reconstructive dentistry. We pride ourselves on our patient-centered practice where patients are treated like family with respect, kindness, and understanding. We do everything possible in order to provide the best dental care for our patients in an honest, relaxed, and friendly setting. We will continually strive to earn the loyalty of our patients, and hope that we will see second and even third generations. Our ultimate goal is to help provide a healthy and confident smile for each and every one of our patients.

Dr. Orman

Dr. Patrick Orman was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He has ties to the area as both his parents are from Columbia and are USC Alumni. He attended the University of South Carolina earning his BS in Biology. He continued his education at MUSC in Charleston earning his DMD.

 

Dr. Patrick Orman focuses on patient centered dentistry where the patient is treated like his own family. He believes in using the current technology and techniques to deliver high quality dentistry in an honest, gentle and caring environment. Outside of dentistry, his passions include spending time with family, golfing, and sports. He is proud to be a “girl dad” to his 2 daughters, Emersyn and Sophie.

Danielle, RDH, MDH

Originally from Dayton, OH, Danielle has over 15 years of experience as a dental hygienist. She holds a Master of Dental Hygiene degree from The Ohio State University. Danielle aims to provide thorough care, while ensuring that her patients feel comfortable and welcome. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh, and their pets, Penny and Willow.

Kyndall, Dental Assistant

Originally from Blythewood, Kyndall has always loved going to the dentist as a child. She is fairly new to dentistry but has known that this was her passion since she was a little girl! She has been with our team since 2022. Kyndall is a cat mom to her fur baby “Mila”. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and planning fun play dates with her nephew Zahir, AKA “budda”! ❤️

Angie, Dental Assistant

Originally from Charlotte, NC, Angie attended Western Carolina University to study Speech Pathology, then later transitioned into dentistry in 1999. With her years of experience, Angie’s goal is to ensure patients feel comfortable and fully informed throughout their visit.

In her free time, Angie loves spending time with her husband, Kevin, her two children, Savanna and Carson, and 4 fur babies, just hanging out as a family. She also enjoys traveling and going to concerts.

Barbara, Dental Hygienist

Originally from Indianapolis, Barbara is a graduate of Indiana University. She has lived in Nashville, Chicago, and Bozeman, before landing in Lexington, SC.

Barbara and her husband, Gary, wanted to be closer to the east coast, the mountains, Lake Murray and especially friends and family. When she isn’t helping patients improve their smiles, Barbara enjoys traveling, quilting, and watching sports. She is a dedicated fan of the Hoosiers, Colts, and Reds, and she can’t help but cheer for the Cubs as well!

Karen, Treatment Coordinator

With over 20 years experience, Karen brings compassion, clarity and efficiency to every patient interaction. She serves as a vital bridge between clinical care and patient understanding, helping them navigate their dental treatment options with confidence and ease. Her goal is to ensure that every treatment plan aligns with our commitment to providing excellent, personalized dental care.

Outside the office, Karen enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, Matt, and her 2 dogs, Winston and Nashville.

Sam, Patient Care Coordinator

Sam began her career as a dental assistant in 1997 and gradually transitioned to a front desk role. She is the first friendly face you see when you walk through our doors and she is dedicated to ensuring patients feel comfortable, welcome and at ease. Her warm, caring personality and professionalism make her an essential part of our team.

For Sam, Clemson was home first, but she found her Gamecock spirit later in life! When she is not at the office, Sam enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren. She also enjoys nature, antiquing, decorating her home, and traveling.

Tonia Patterson

Tonia Patterson, Owner

Tonia has been in dentistry since 2001. She began her journey in dentistry as a Front Office Assistant, progressing to Dental Assistant, Practice Administrator and now Owner. After having bad experiences at the dentist as a child, Tonia is determined to destroy the stereotype of dentistry and create a warm, compassionate environment where patients can enjoy their dental visits. Tonia is very passionate about educating the public about the importance of their dental health, after all, your oral health is the highway to your overall health. In her free time, Tonia enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, keeping up with her salt water aquariums, and Gamecock Football.
